Bermel Family Offers a Note of Thanks to St. Michael-Albertville Community
Larry Bermel's granddaughter gives a big thank to those who did everything from send cards to remember Larry in their thoughts and prayers.

Written by Brianna Bermel, Larry's granddaughter
As many of you know, on October 27, 2013, my grandpa, "Cowboy" Larry Bermel passed away. Losing him was one of the hardest things that my family and I have ever had to experience.
Although things have been very difficult, what has made such a positive impact on all of us is the love and support that we received from the many people who knew my grandpa. Whether he was your bus driver and gave you candy, drove your team around for sports, was your neighbor, a close friend or relative, a coworker, or just someone who made you smile, I hope he made an impact on your life because I know you made an impact on his.

I know that my grandpa was quite popular within the St. Michael- Albertville area, and also in neighboring towns, but my family and I were in such amazement when we saw just exactly how many people’s lives he touched at the attendance of his wake and funeral.
I apologize to those of you who had to stand out in the cold and wait in line for so long, but know that we appreciated your presence more than words will ever be able to describe.

I know that life can be busy and things can get in the way, so if you were unable to attend the wake or the funeral, we appreciated your thoughts and prayers. To anyone who wrote a card, gave flowers, shared pictures, consoling and caring words, told stories about my grandpa, or just simply showed your presence, on behalf of my entire family I would like to say thank you.
Not one thing, big or small, went unnoticed and it all made a positive difference. We have appreciated all the love and support that we have received from everyone.
If my grandpa could see the impact that he left on this world, as my family and I have, I know it would bring a huge smile to his face.
Thank you all so much!
Sincerely,
Brianna Bermel
