DAY THREE: Get Set to Get Wrecked at the Wright County Fair

The Wright County Fair down in Howard Lake rolls into the weekend with one of the event's most popular spectacles. 

Participants from all over compete for prizes and honor in the annual Wright County Demolition Derby. 

It's an old-fashioned event fans don't see much of anymore, as drivers will try to take out other cars with their own vehicle, while trying to keep everything on in order. 

The event takes place at 7 p.m. at the grandstand. 

Another highlight today at 4 p.m. is the lumberjack championships, held on the south side of the fairgrounds. This event features live cutting, climbing and carving competitions and is an annual favorite. 

"There's so much about this event that's like an old-fahsioned fair," said chair Ward Westphal. "It's really a fun week."
