UPDATE: Two Injured in Head-On Accident Saturday Night

First responders arrived at the accident scene at 57th Street Northeast and LaBeaux Avenue around 10:10 p.m. Saturday night.

Two people were transported to local hospitals by Allina and New River Ambulance after a two-vehicle accident Saturday night, and one man is a suspect in the crash. 

Albertville Fire and the Wright County Sheriff Department were dispatched around 10:15 p.m. Saturday night for a two-vehicle accident with injuries. 

According to the sheriff's department: A 2000 Chevrolet Silverado with two occupants, driven by Ritchie Elliott, was northbound on LaBeaux attempting to turn west onto 57th Street Northeast. The driver of the silverado, Ritchie Elliott, collided with a 2000 BMW that was driven by Harry Hunt that had been traveling southbound on LaBeaux.

The BMW contained four occupants. The driver of the pickup, Elliot was taken into custody by Wright County Deputies on scene. Capt. Dan Anselment, head of the patrol department, said a blood test was later taken from Elliot, and the department is waiting for results before issuing a citation. 

Two parties in Hunt's vehicle were transported to North Memorial by Allina ambulance with serious injuries. Neither seemed to have life-threatening injuries, and both were alert.

Wright County deputies controlled traffic at the major intersection as people looked on from nearby Pubhouse 19 and Casey's General Store. 

The scene was cleared before 11 p.m.
