Dog Days: Albertville, St. Michael Under Another Heat Advisory

The National Weather Service is predicting high temperatures with dangerous humidity levels, creating another steamy day in the area. Storms are also possible.

St. Michael and Albertville residents will likely see a heat index in the triple digits again today.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Wright County and much of the Twin Cities metropolitan area until 8 p.m. this evening. Very high temperatures combined with high humidity levels will push heat indices in the area to reach 100 to 105 degrees during the afternoon and early evening hours, according to the weather service.

Along with that heat, St. Michael and Albertville may see some severe thunderstorms late Monday morning or during the afternoon. Some of the storms will likely produce torrential rain and possibly damaging wind gusts.
