Former STMA Soccer Star Signs For Minnesota Aurora FC
Makenzie Langdok, a 2017 graduate of St. Michael-Albertville High School, was the third player signed by the new women's soccer team.
ST. MICHAEL, MN — Makenzie Langdok, a former St. Michael-Albertville High School soccer star, has signed on to play for Minnesota Aurora FC during its inaugural season.
Langdok was the third player signed by Minnesota Aurora as it works to build its roster ahead of its debut in the USL W League in May. Her contract with the team must be approved by the league, the team said last week.
After signing for the team, Langdok tweeted she is “not ready to hang up the cleats yet, so excited to be part of this squad!!”

Langdok played more than 60 games for the University of Minnesota women’s soccer team and was named to the 2021 NCAA Division I Women’s All-Region Second Team for the North Region.

She scored five goals and added two assists during her four years as a defender for the Gophers, according to statistics from the team.
Langdok was named Ms. Minnesota Soccer in 2016 and earned All-State honors three times while playing for St. Michael-Albertville High School.

Former Vanderbilt goalkeeper Sarah Fuller was the first player to sign for Minnesota Aurora. Days after helping lead Vanderbilt’s women’s soccer team to an SEC championship in 2020, Fuller became the first woman to play in a Power Five college football game.
As a kicker for the Vanderbilt team, she became the first woman to score in a Power Five football game in November 2020.
Minnesota Aurora FC will play at TCO Stadium at Viking Lakes in Eagan. The stadium fits 5,500 fans, who can make a $30 deposit for season tickets, which will be on sale later this year.
