Get Out: Baseball Championships and Flapjacks in St. Michael This Weekend

It’s a weekend to crown champions and for grand openings. There’s also warm weather on the way and a new hot spot in town.

What: Celebrate the “official” arrival of St. Michael’s newest restaurant and bar, associated with the St. Michael American Legion.

When: Events are set from open to close Friday through Sunday, including live music and special meal deals.

Why Go: The food is great, the hosts are most welcoming and the atmosphere is a St. Michael tradition.

Monticello’s Riverfest Celebration

What: St. Michael-Albertville’s neighbor to the west celebrates the weekend with Taste of Monticello (Saturday), Art in the Park (Saturday), a huge parade (Sunday) and a coronation (Sunday).

When: The big parade begins at 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Why Go: City celebrations are a blast! And you might run into someone you know.

What: A Friday night fish fry makes its way to summertime, as Pubhouse welcomes all fillet fanatics.

When: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

Why Go: It’s all you can eat, for cryin’ out loud!

What: Join Alleluia Lutheran Church for a pancake breakfast Sunday to support the Alleluia! Lutheran Church Healing Haiti Mission Team. 

When: The breakfast will take place at the Historic Church in St. Michael from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Why Go: Chow down on pancakes, sausage and juice/coffee

STMA Youth Baseball Championships

What: The community cheers on future all-stars as the St. Michael summer baseball season comes to a close.

When: All Day Saturday (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ) at the .

Why Go: Cheer on the local "boys of summer."
