Memorial Park Dedication in Albertville Sunday

A dedication is scheduled for noon, Sunday, Sept. 22 of the Memorial Park in Albertville, according to a Press & News report.

The event is open to the community for the official dedication, ribbon cutting and refreshments.

The park is a collaboration between the two communities of Albertville and Pelican Rapids in the memory Jessica Weishair and of those killed traveling local roads. Jessica Weishair was killed in April 2008 when a charter bus carrying high school band students from Pelican Rapids, MN crashed on Interstate 94 while traveling through Albertville.  

The new Memorial Park is located on the frontage road 62nd St., next to the Stone Countertop Outlet, at the intersection of 62nd Street NE and 63rd Street NE in Albertville.
