Miles Covered Mean Money for Maddy

Organizers Tobey Berning, Jennifer Berning and the family of the late Chad Smith presented one special gift to a family that's in its second fight with cancer. 

The Ride For Life crew, which held its run Saturday, June 18, presented the Wenner family with a check for more than $11,000 Sunday, June 26, all proceeds from the annual run. 

Chad Smith, who died at age 36, was a cancer victim. His final wish was that the Ride For Life, which was organized in his honor, continue to benefit a local family. 

"We were so excited to present this money to a great family," Jennifer said. "It's just awesome."
