More Snow Headed For St. Michael: When, How Much To Expect

Here's what forecasters are saying about the next round of snow headed for the Twin Cities metro this week.

ST. MICHAEL, MN — Another round of snow is likely to hit St. Michael on Tuesday, with forecasters calling for several inches to fall by Wednesday morning.

The arctic cold will arrive again on Thursday when the low is predicted to hit 16 degrees below zero.

Winter parking rules are in effect in St. Michael, banning residents from parking on city streets and city-owned lots if at least 2 inches of snow fall.

A chance of flurries between noon and 3 p.m., then a slight chance of snow after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 30. East southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north northeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tuesday night
Snow. Patchy blowing snow after 2 a.m. Low around 6. Blustery, with a northwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday
Snow likely before noon, then flurries likely after noon. Patchy blowing snow before 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 11. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around -9. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
