Overnight I-94 Closures Coming To Wright County This Weekend
MnDOT crews are working to complete a $350 million project to repair roads and add lanes from Maple Grove to Clearwater.
ST. MICHAEL, MN — Drivers using Interstate 94 in the St. Michael area should be prepared for overnight closures this weekend, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Crews resumed work in April on I-94 between St. Michael and Albertville, aiming to finish work on the southbound side of the Highway 241 bridge, repair a barrier and clean up work areas.

That work has led to intermittent lane closures that could continue until mid-June. It’s also set to prompt an overnight closure Sunday into Monday, according to transportation officials.
The I-94 westbound off-ramp to Highway 241 North is scheduled to close from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers will be directed to use the off-ramp to Highway 241 South and the roundabout at O’Day Avenue to reach the northbound lanes of Highway 241, according to traffic-control plans.

MnDOT is set to close I-94 eastbound lanes on the bridge over County Road 19, with the detour to direct drivers to use County Road 19 to reach County Road 37 and the next entrance to I-94 East.
Nighttime lane closures on I-94 are also planned to start this weekend between Monticello and Hasty. Intermittent lane and shoulder closure could continue through mid-August, MnDOT officials said.

- 9 p.m. Sunday to 11 a.m. Monday
- 6 p.m. Monday to 11 a.m. Tuesday
- 6 p.m. Tuesday to 11 a.m. Wednesday
- 6 p.m. Wednesday to 11 a.m. Thursday
- 7 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday
Westbound closures from Highway 25 to County Road 8 (May 1-7)
- 7 p.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Monday
- 6 p.m. Monday to 11 a.m. Tuesday
- 6 p.m. Tuesday to 11 a.m. Wednesday
- 6 p.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday
- 8 p.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday
- 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday
