Revive Corner Bar, St. Michael Cafe: Locals Pine For Old Haunts
Many residents also reminisced about JR's Pizza and Mr. Z's in a recent survey about which establishments they'd like to see return.

ST. MICHAEL, MN — St. Michael residents longed for the return of several former businesses over the weekend after Patch asked which establishments they miss most.
“If you could bring back one local business that closed in town (it doesn’t matter how long ago), which would it be?” St. Michael Patch asked Saturday on Facebook.

More than two dozen people replied, with at least eight saying they’d bring back the St. Michael Cafe.
Six people called for the return of the Corner Bar, which closed in January 2020 after the property was bought by Wright County to accommodate an interstate expansion project, Press & News reported.

Twin Cities Landmarks Light Up In Show Of Support For Ukraine
The Corner Bar, built in 1897, served customers in St. Michael for more than 120 years.
Twist & Shout, JR’s Pizza and Mr. Z’s also received some love from commenters, as did Grandma Jon’s Bakery and the Thrifty White pharmacy.
