St. Michael-Albertville Pee-Wees Headed to State A Tourney
The Pee Wee A Squad knocked off Monticello in the West Region Final to earn a trip to Alexandria.

The St. Michael-Albertville Pee Wee A Team is headed to the Minnesota Pee Wee A Level Tournament next weekend in Alexandria.
Last weekend, the Pee Wee squad dumped Brainerd in the opening round, 4-2, and then skated by Fergus Falls in the West Region semifinal, 5-3.
In the final, they faced off with a familiar foe in Monticello-Annandale-Maple Lake, and pitched a 3-0 shutout to advance to the State A Tournament.

The tournament was held at the Kent Freeman Arena in Detroit Lakes. State will be at the Runestone Community Arena in Alexandria, and feature teams from Prior Lake, Eden Prairie, Lakeville and Hermantown.
The Knights will square off against Elk River in the opening round, set for 2 p.m. Friday, March 16.

MAML qualified for the state tourney as well, defeating Roseau 4-2 in the play-in game.
