St. Michael-Albertville Team Claims Gopher Championship
The "boys of summer" will be recognized at a Twins game and be presented their rings on Target Field in September.
The St. Michael-Albertville 11U AAA Traveling Baseball Team won the 2011 Gopher State Tournament of Champions Sunday afternoon by defeating Blaine in the championship game. The squad took first in a field of 32 other teams.
The team has one more tournament, in Buffalo, this weekend.
The team will be presented with their championship rings at Target Field during a Minnesota Twins game in September.
