St. Michael Daze and Knights Midway at Blast of Fresh Air
Families from everywhere loved the new concept, with some hoping the inflatable midway could return next summer.
Friday night was a perfect night for the St. Michael Daze and Knights Festival. With the evening temp around 70, sunshine and a light breeze, it was the perfect weather to watch the kids bounce their sillies out on the inflatables from USA Inflatables.
Saturday, despite a brief shower that came through in the afternoon, was also picture-perfect. It even included a full moon.
This year’s carnival was very much a change from past years. There are no rides, just inflatables. But parents and grandparents didn’t seem too disappointed by that Friday night.

“I think this is preferred,” St. Michael resident and grandpa Mike Seethaler said Friday night, “Sometimes depending on mechanics, these seem safer than rides. At least that’s the perception.”
“I like that it’s more reasonably priced than a typical carnival and our grandson can have more repetition,” Lynn Seethaler shared. Unlimited wristbands were available for $12; individual tickets were $1.50 or 4 for $5, with most inflatables in the 2 ticket range.

Jen Kaiser of St. Michael was there with her cousins’ child, “I don’t have kids but I love this idea. I also really like the unlimited wristband.”
In addition to the inflatables, FYCC and EyeWest put on a midway full of games for kids to play and win prizes. Games were reasonably priced, and proceeds went to FYCC.
You may not have seen kids walking out with giant sized panda bears, but really, what parent wants that anyway?
