St. Michael on High End with More than Three Inches of Rain – So Far
A flash flood remains in effect for the Twin Cities area through 1 p.m. today.

St. Michael leads the Twin Cities metropolitan area in rainfall for the last 24 hours, having received about three and a half inches of rain since 8 p.m. Wednesday, and more is in the forecast through Memorial Day weekend.
A flash flood watch remains in effect for the Twin Cities area through 1 p.m. today. After a brief break this afternoon, more showers and thunderstorms are likely before 7 p.m., then there is a chance of showers between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. Friday. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall.

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA...MAINLY ALONG AND EAST OF A LINE FROM ANNANDALE TO HUTCHINSON TO FAIRFAX TO SPRINGFIELD...INCLUDING THE TWIN CITIES METRO. IN ADDITION...SOME STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL THAT COULD CAUSE FLOODING PROBLEMS IN LOW- LYING...POOR DRAINAGE AND URBAN LOCATIONS.
Thunderstorms remain in the forecast through Monday night. Rain is also possible next Tuesday and Wednesday, although the storms figure to be less severe.
