STMA Student Athletes Raise Thousands During Cancer Awareness Week
Several teams raised funds by selling pink t-shirts, hosting raffles and accepting donations.

St. Michael-Albertville High School student athletes raised more than $5,400 for several cancer organizations this fall.
"The STMA girls soccer, girls swimming and diving, volleyball, and football teams would like to thank everyone for their support during our fall cancer awareness week,” according to an email sent to Patch.
The funds raised were donated to the Skin Cancer Foundation, Lung Cancer Society, Miracles of Mitch Foundation and Randy Shaver’s Tackle Cancer.

Each group sold pink t-shirts to raise the funds, held raffles and accepted free-will donations at four different events.
