Trio of Furry Friends in St. Michael-Albertville Pets of the Week Spotlight

Two adult cats and a pudgy little dog name "Fudge" highlight this week's featured pets from Crossroads Animal Shelter in Buffalo. Check them out.

Crossroads Animal Shelter in nearby Buffalo is teaming up with St. Michael Patch to bring you a new feature here on the site.

"Pets of the Week" will, from here on out, feature a pair of adoptable pets at the popular shelter, which recently welcomed and adopted out its 6,000th animal in December. That's pretty impressive for a shelter that's only been around for about 12 years. Crossroads is located at 2800 10th St SE in Buffalo. The shelter is open from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.

This week's trio includes:

Cats: Sunset and Dusk were adopted together from Crossroads as kittens. Now, nine years later, they are a great, bonded pair. They are declawed mellow cats, looking for a home together (after someone in their former home developed allergies). They enjoy laps, sunshine, TV, music and telling their family how grateful they are.

Dog: Fudge is a mature, 2-year-old dachshund mix. He tends to be a bit shy at first and around people, more peppy with other dogs around.
