Wright County Investigating Assault at Albertville Bar

An assault shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday left one man bloodied.

The Wright County Sheriff's Department is investigating a Friday night assault at Albertville's 152 Club. 

The incident, which happened shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, left one man with a bloodied laceration to his arm.

Other details remain sketchy.

According to the Wright County Sheriff's Department:

"On August 6, 2011 at 12:55 a.m. the Wright County Sheriff's Office received a report of an assault that occurred at the 152 Club at 5794 Main Avenue in the City of Albertville.

"Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a 50 year old St Michael man who had a laceration to his right arm. The victim reported having a brief physical altercation with another male at the bar. Shortly thereafter, the victim noticed the injury to his arm. The victim was transported to the Buffalo Hospital via Allina Ambulance for his injury. The cause of the injury is undetermined at this time."

Witnesses are saying, anonymously, the man was cut with a "pen knife." Words were exchanged, but the fight was broken up quickly.

The incident remains under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff's Office.
