Wright County Moving Offices Out Of Downtown Buffalo This Month

WRIGHT COUNTY, MN — Some Wright County services may be more difficult to reach this month as officials prepare to move to the county’s new administration building.

The Wright County Government Center is set to move out of downtown Buffalo in March, with offices to reopen in phases at the new building at 3650 Braddock Ave. NE near Lake Pulaski and the county jail.

The county’s health and human services department will make its move from March 18-22. The office will remain open but will provide limited services across those three business days, officials said.

The Wright County License Center is booking appointments through March 18 for driver’s license renewals, but the office will only provide walk-in services March 21-29. The license center will be closed March 30, with officials hoping to reopen the office and its drive-thru area the next day.

The lobby and drive-thru are expected to be fully open for walk-in services by April 1, with appointment scheduling to restart April 4, officials said.

Wright County’s Veteran Services office will be limited to emergency services March 22 and will close from March 23-25. It is due to reopen March 28 at the new government center.

The Taxpayer Services office will close at the old building March 24 and reopen at the new center March 28. The planning and zoning office will not provide services March 28 as it makes its move between buildings.

Officials said public areas of the county recorder’s office will be closed March 28 through April 1, with the following services unavailable March 29-30: abstractor public records, birth certificates, credential filing, death certificates, property conveyances/divisions/combinations, marriage applications, marriage certificates, marriage licenses, notary registration, notary services, plats and recordings.
