Wright County Runners Finish 2022 Boston Marathon: Unofficial Results
Monday's marathon was the second in six months, as the 2021 Boston Marathon was pushed back from its traditional April date to October.

WRIGHT COUNTY, MN — Three runners from Wright County completed the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday morning, making their 26.2-mile journey from Hopkinton to the famed Boylston Street finish line.
One runner — Denise Lorentz of Monticello — was racing in the Boston Marathon for the second time in six months, after the 2021 Boston Marathon was pushed from its traditional April date to October due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 Boston Marathon was postponed before being canceled, the first time the race didn't take place in its 125-year history.
The Boston Athletic Association reduced the field for the 2021 marathon in October, with less than 20,000 runners competing. The field was back to about 30,000 runners Monday.

Runners had to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus to participate in Monday's race.

Here's how Wright County runners did in the 2022 Boston Marathon, according to unofficial results from the Boston Athletic Association's tracker:
- Kevin Jonell, 31, of St. Michael —3:32:53
- Denise Lorentz, 51, of Monticello — 4:10:54
- Michael Klinkenborg, 37, of Delano — 3:52:24
Lorentz posted a quicker time Monday than she did in the 2021 Boston Marathon in October, according to the unofficial results.
