Wright County Sheriff's Office Offers Citizen Academy

The Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy gives the public a behind the scenes look at life as a Wright County Deputy.

Wright County Sheriff’s Office Citizen Law Enforcement Academy is offered free of charge and will be held in the spring of 2012.Classes are two and a half hours long. The program will run for Five (5) weeks. Instruction will be a combination of lecture, question and answer, demonstration, participation and tours. The classes and subjects will be very similar to those taught to new deputy sheriffs and police officer         

Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years old.  Due to the nature of the material presented, all applicants will be screened for criminal backgrounds.  

Classes will be held from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. April 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and May-1st . The classes will be held at the Wright County Law Enforcement Center. Questions regarding the program may also be addressed to Sergeant Brian Johnson at 763-684-2366 or brianm.johnson@co.wright.mn.us
