The county has permanently shut down CodeRED, is urging anyone reusing that password elsewhere to change it immediately, and is working on a more secure replacement alert system.
   

• Wabasha County Sheriff's Office, Lake City police respond to shooting in Lake City (postbulletin.com) — Wabasha County Sheriff’s deputies and Lake City police responded Wednesday afternoon to a shooting along U.S. Highway 63 in Lake City, a key corridor for Wabasha-area residents. Details on how many people were involved or their conditions have not yet been released, and authorities say the situation remains under investigation.
