• Food shelf bags nearly 8K lbs of food in campaign (hometownsource.com) — Waconia’s Gather and Grow food shelf just wrapped up its Bag Hunger campaign, collecting 7,870 pounds of food locally, plus tens of thousands more from other community donations. Local schools and Mackenthun’s Fine Foods played big roles, while a separate $10,000 Comcast match to Bountiful Basket will boost food support across Carver County. Together, these efforts strengthen food security for area families.
