• Royals win invite to start season (hometownsource.com) — Watertown-Mayer/Mound Westonka gymnasts kicked off their season with a big win, taking first place among eight teams at the Jackie Mann Invite. Led by strong all-around performances from Libby Moore and Erica Johnson, the Royals edged out several close competitors and posted standout scores across vault, bars, beam, and floor.
   

• NYA starts planning for new water treatment plant (hometownsource.com) — Norwood Young America officials are moving ahead with plans for a new $62–$76 million wastewater treatment plant and recently toured Watertown’s new aeration facility for ideas. The project will use a biological aerated filter process and is planned for Tacoma West Industrial Park, while the city also advances a major new housing development. Watertown residents may see regional impacts and shared expertise from their own upgraded plant.
