• Nissan names VP to oversee US manufacturing overhaul (supplychaindive.com) — Nissan has promoted Victor Taylor, who previously led the Canton vehicle assembly plant, to oversee U.S. manufacturing, supply chain, and production engineering, while naming Ricardo Anguiano to run the $4 billion Canton facility. The plant, which employs more than 3,700 people and builds Altimas and Frontiers, remains central to Nissan’s restructuring, even as the company delays new electric SUV production there by 10 months.
