• DEVELOPING: Shaw Police Release Additional Details in Double Fatal Shooting (deltadailynews.com) — Investigators say a car found at a double fatal shooting scene in Shaw had been reported stolen from Greenville just a few hours earlier, tying the case directly back to local residents. Two masked men were discovered shot to death in the vehicle, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Bolivar County investigators or Crime Stoppers. 
• Obituary: Samuel Ford (thelelandprogress.com) — Family and friends in Greenville and nearby Leland are mourning the passing of 61-year-old Samuel Ford, who died in Greenville on December 8. Loved for his passion for motorcycles, four wheelers, and his work as a mechanic, he will be remembered at visitation in Leland on December 19 and a funeral in Dunleith on December 20.
