• Notice and Public Explanation of a Proposed Activity in the 100-Year Floodplain (thegazebogazette.com) — A new Harrison County Beachfront Resilience Project would add a concrete pathway above the seawall along Highway 90 between Gulfport and Biloxi, helping keep sand and debris off the road while improving the beach walkway. Gulfport residents can review detailed plans at an engineering office on Cowan Road and submit written comments on the proposal through December 27, 2025.

• Four convicted in Warren County law enforcement officer kidnapping case (wlbt.com) — A major kidnapping case with ties to Gulfport has ended in four convictions, including a life sentence for the lead defendant. Investigators say the victim’s truck was spotted in Gulfport the day after he disappeared, helping unravel a plot that left him shot and abandoned but alive inside a storage container.
