On the Democratic side, six candidates face each other in the primary; David Baria, Jensen Bohren, Jerone Garland, Victor Maurice Jr., Omeria Scott and Howard Sherman. The Sun-Herald reports that the top two finishers on the Democratic side will likely meet in a primary runoff on June 26.

In the state's fourth congressional district, Rep. Steven Palazzo, the incumbent, faces a challenge from Brian Rose. On the Democratic side, State Rep. Jeramey Anderson is running unopposed and the winner of Tuesday's primary will face him in the general election.

For the state's third congressional district, six candidates face each other in the Republican primary and half of them are women. The New York Times notes that the district is firmly Republican so whoever wins on Tuesday is likely to win in the general election. The incumbent, Gregg Harper, is not seeking reelection. The polling website 538 says the seat is unlikely to figure in November's battle for control of the House. "The 3rd District is 26 percentage points more Republican-leaning than the nation as a whole, according to our partisan lean metric," 538 writes.

The candidates on the Republican side are: Sally Doty, Morgan Dunn, Michael Guest, Whit Hughes, Perry Parker and Katherine Tate. On the Democratic side, Michael Aycox and Michael Evans face each other in the primary.
