• City mayors expect major economic development from West Rankin Parkway (wlbt.com) — Drivers in Pearl now have a much faster five‑minute connection to Flowood thanks to the new West Rankin Parkway, which links Highway 80 in Pearl to Flowood Drive. Both cities’ mayors say the thousand-acre corridor, with rail and interstate access, is poised for major industrial growth and job creation, and local leaders are already coordinating with landowners to guide development.
