In recognition of National Bully Prevention Month, and in an effort to encourage students that may be experiencing bullying, harassment or intimidation and are too fearful or not quite ready to come forward face-to-face to report the matter, Affton School District is implementing the CyberBully Hotline program.
The purpose of this program is to create an anonymous, two-way means for students, parents, guardians and others to report incidents of bullying, harassment or intimidation. The hotline also provides a way for individuals to share information about potentially harmful or violent acts by others.

Each elementary and secondary school within the district has its own CyberBully Hotline number. Incidents can be reported anonymously via a text message, or by calling and leaving a voice message. The service is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All Caller IDs are masked and messages are forwarded to one or more designated school officials directly. The monitors have the ability to reply to text messages and start a two-way anonymous chat, and the goal is to engage the student to begin a dialogue and start a resolution process.
