Affton Woman Killed in Car Crash Remembered as Vibrant, Friendly

An Affton woman that was killed Wednesday night in a two vehicle accident on Interstate 55 north of Lindbergh Blvd. in South County is being remembered today as "someone who always had a smile on her face."

Her high school teacher and cheerleading coach, Dee Loris, told the South County Times she someone who always had a smile on her face.

"She just had this vibrant personality," the Affton High School teacher said. "She was a very friendly person, a very outgoing person and she was always positive." 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Lindsey Puff overcorrected her 2002 Pontiac Grand Am and struck a guardrail. Puff was not wearing a seat belt and the impact threw her from the car, according to KSDK.  A second southbound vehicle then collided with Puff's car, which spun around after striking the guardrail.

Puff was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:59 p.m. Her passing has her family and friends trying to comprehend the loss of life of someone so young with such an influence. 

Loris also told the South County Times Puff "was an incredibly positive influence on so many people."

She was a 2011 Affton High School graduate, and was attending St. Louis Community College-Meramec.
