I think that is pretty interesting. This is more than community members donating an hour or two of their time; this seems to be a large, collective effort to keep St. Louis kids in school where they can succeed! So Iβm excited to say Iβm on board!
Today was my volunteer orientation. (Donβt worry, there are more if you missed today.) They scheduled us for an hour and a half, but they were able to explain the initiative and volunteer opprotunities in 40 minutes. Basically, UW is looking for people to be one of four things: a tutor, a mentor, a homework helper or a reading partner.
