Kenrick's Meat Man is Musician, Too

Timothy Weinmann, president of Kenrick's Meats and Catering, was named Saturday as the Affton Chamber of Commerce Business person of the Year.

Timothy Weinmann, president of Kenrick's Meats and Catering, is equally at home behind a piano or toting a guitar as he is with the T-Bone steaks and standing rib roasts featured at his business.

Weinmann was honored Saturday as the Affton Chamber of Commerce 2012 Business Person of the Year. The second generation operator of the family business, Timothy took over from his father, Joseph Weinmann, the founder of the business that started in 1975 under the Weinmann banner.

The Chamber notes that Weinmann started with his father's business at the age of 15 by sweeping up around the butcher shop, located on Dana Avenue and Weber Road. Timothy also worked at the store while he attended high school at CBC and, subsequently, at St. Louis University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in finance.
