Tonight's Affton Graduation Will Go on Despite the Death of One of Its Seniors

School officials say the ceremony will go on as scheduled per the wishes of the family.

The Affton High School graduation ceremony planned for 7 p.m. will go on as scheduled even through one graduate will not be walking down the isle.

Senior Emily Dreiman, 18, was found dead inside her home this morning along with three other family members. She was supposed to have graduated with her class this evening.

"The graduation will go on as planned per the wishes of Emily's family," said Jason Buck, assistant principal.

Buck said he didn't know Dreiman well because he works with mostly freshman and sophomore students.

Interim Superintendent Ken Weissflug was unable to be reached for comment.
