Tour the Inside of Affton's 1.5 Million Gallon Water Tank
The giant tank was recently repainted on the inside. Watch the video.
The interior of the 72-foot diameter water tank that sits at the southwest corner of Gravois and Tesson Ferry was recently repainted. Missouri American Water invited members of the media and the Affton Fire Department to step inside for a tour while it was empty.
The 1.5 million gallon tank supplies water to Affton, Marlborough, Lakeshire, St. George, Green Park, Concord, and unincorporated parts of St. Louis County
Missouri American Water spokesperson Anne Dettmer and operations superintendent Christopher Parrish conducted the tours.
