The Arnold location will be the fourth Aldi store in the South County area and will join the locations in Fenton, Mehlville and Crestwood, stated the grocer’s website.

“Kohl’s approached Aldi at the corporate headquarters level about a pilot program because the companies share complimentary customers,” John Sawyer, of St. Louis-based Sawyer Engineering, said to planning and zoning commissioners.

Documents submitted to Arnold City Hall, at 2101 Jeffco Blvd., stated Aldi would use about 2 acres of land on Kohl’s 8-acre lot at 2150 Michigan Ave.

The Arnold City Council unanimously approved the Aldi development during May 19 City Council Meeting at City Hall.
