Request for Bids: Concrete Street Repairs

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the 2011 Portland cement concrete street repairs will be received by the City Clerk, Arnold City Hall, 2101 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Missouri 63010, until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be made in duplicate on the printed forms found in the back of the contract documents. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Concrete Street Repair" in the 
lower left comer.

Specifications and bid documents will be available at the Public Works Department, 2912 Arnold Tenbrook Road, Arnold, Missouri on or after Friday, June 24, 2011, for a payment in the amount of $15.00. Said payment is non-refundable.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m" Thursday, June 30, 2011, at the Public Works Department. The purpose of the meeting is to review the project, respond to questions and address concerns from contractors. Following. the meeting, a site visit to the streets to be repaired is scheduled.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check or bid bond, payable to the City of Arnold, Missouri, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as a guarantee that the successful bidder or bidders will enter into a contract and furnish performance and payment bondS in the full amount of the Contract within ten (10) days after the award is made.

The City of Arnold hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received,' and to accept the bid or bids that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the City ofArnold, Missouri.
