Arnold Dog Swim Event Raises $900 for Dog Parks

About 150 dog owners ignored Saturday's rains, and raised about $900, to allow their dogs to enjoy the outdoor swimming pools at the Arnold Recreation Center at 1695 Missouri State Road.

The money raised goes towards the two dog parks at Arnold's Ferd B. Lang Park and Arnold City Park.

Event staffers said they needed to get the dogs out of the water when thunder and lightening passed through the area. The dogs and their owners waited out the storm and jumped back into the pools when the rain fall lightened.
