Arnold Ward 1 Councilman Cricky Lang, Ward 3 Councilman Paul Freese, Parks and Recreation Director Susie Boone, Planning and Zoning Commissioner Todd Teuscher, members of the Arnold Police Department and the Rock Community Fire Protection District are evaluating designs for Arnold’s 9/11 tribute to first responders.

A June 30 memo from Boone to Arnold City Council members, for the July  Arnold City Council meeting, said the memorial’s cost is about $5,500 not including time donated by volunteers and city employees.

Money raised is needed for shipping the artifact from New York to Arnold, landscaping, supplies and materials for the memorial, Boone wrote.

She also wrote that the Jefferson County Boy Scouts will donate a flag pole and flag toward Arnold’s memorial, and Teuscher will donate his time to design the memorial.
