Arnold Woman Charged in iPad Theft at Webster Groves Home

Angela Russell told police her husband came back to their car with the iPad and a black bag and gave her the iPad.

A woman is accused faces criminal charges for possessing an iPad that was stolen from a Webster Groves home.

Angela Lee Russell, 31, of the first block of Estates Drive in Arnold, was charged June 28 with receiving stolen property.

Webster Groves Police said Russell told police she and her husband were driving in a strange neighborhood when they stopped to let their dog out in the 600 block of Hollywood Place in Webster Groves. The dog ran between some houses and her husband went to get it, the woman said.

Russell told police that when he returned with the dog, her husband had a black bag and an iPad, and he gave her the iPad.

Police said the iPad was stolen in a burglary at the house they parked near that night.

Bond was set at $5,000 for Russell.
