Brush Pick up in Two Weeks

City postpones brush pickup to April 2. Originally planned to begin on March 26.

Arnold residents have at least two weeks to prepare for the city's spring brush pickup.

Arnold Public Works employees will begin to pick up unwanted tree limbs and shurbs from Ward 1 and Ward 2 on April 2. Then they will move to Ward 3 and Ward 4 on April 16.

The orginal pickup start dates were March 26 and April 9, for the wards, Public Works Director Bryson Baker said during the Arnold City Council meeting on Thursday, March 15, at .

"A week's notice is not enough," Ward 1 Councilman Doris Borgelt said during the meeting.

"It may only be three days notice," Ward 2 Councilman Jeff Fitter said about most residents would first learn about the pickup dates in the Wednesday or Thursday editions, March 21-22, of the Arnold-Imperial Leader newspaper.
