Firefighters Save Dog's Life with Mask
The mask is one of five sets Arnold resident Diane Walters donated two years ago..

Rock Community firefighters recently used a K-9 mask to revive a dog that had experienced smoke inhalation.
This is following a kitchen fire at a home in the 1900 block of Maple Drive in Arnold, according to  Ron Harder, the fire district’s public information officer.
The district received a call about the fire at 7 p.m. on June 12.

The residents were not at home, but their 3 dogs were there. Neighbors saw smoke and reported the fire.
The fire was contained to the kitchen, but smoke spread quickly and one dog was affected.

Harder said firefighters used the K-9 mask to help the dog. Arnold resident Diane Walters donated the masks to the district.
