Free Flu Shots Saturday

SSM in St. Louis is offering a vaccine that protects against three seasonal flu viruses.

SSM Health Care in St. Louis is offering free seasonal flu vaccinations on from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Anyone between the ages of 3 to 64 years old is eligible to receive the shot at 6420 Clayton Rd, in St. Louis.

Vaccines will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis to walk-ins only, no preregistration is required, an SSM news release stated.

Vaccines are injection only, so attendees should wear clothing that allows access to the upper arms.

Preservative-free vaccines for pregnant women is available in a limited supply.

The 2011-2012 flu vaccine is good for one year and protects against three influenza viruses that are most common during the flu season.

For community members who have not yet received a seasonal flu vaccination, the SSM Health Care–St. Louis public clinics might be one of their last opportunities to get a free vaccination.
