Jefferson County Man Faces Invasion of Privacy Charge

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Frank Fuchs, 51, of Cedar Hill with Invasion of Privacy of Multiple Individuals after he was arrested Sunday. A video camera was discovered in the women's restroom of the Price Chopper grocery store in the 4600 block of Gravois Road, House Springs, according to a news release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Fuchs currently is being held in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond.

The Sheriff's Department said in the news release that it was called to the store by an employee who located a video camera in the ceiling of the women's restroom. After an investigation, it was discovered Fuchs had placed the camera in the ceiling. A Price Chopper employee was able to indentify Fuchs from photos taken by the camera. Fuchs was detained by store employees and, upon the arrival of sheriff's deputies, was taken into custody.

The Sheriff's Department is asking anyone who may have used the Price Chopper women's restroom on Sunday, July 15 between noon and approximately 1:30 p.m. to call the sheriff's office at 636-797-5515.

The sheriff's department believes Fuchs may have attempted to record other people throughout Jefferson County. An investigation is ongoing.
