Richardson Road Work Has Begun
Traffic shifted on Richardson Road, and drivers should expect contractors working close to the road.

Drivers along Richardson Road east of Interstate 55 will need to slow down because contractors have begun work to repave the surface.Â
Crews closed right westbound lane along Richardson Road and used a backhoe to break road surface on Thursday.
Workers also shifted westbound traffic into the center left turn lane, bordered by yellow lane lines, between Jeffco Boulevard and the Sonic drive-in restaurant.Â

Businesses along the repair zone will remain open and are accessible from Richardson Road.

Public Works Director Bryson Baker announced the project during a City Council meeting at , at 2101 Jeffco Blvd., in July.
Dura-Seal, a Barnhart, MO-based company and the sole bidder on the contract, will receive about $108,000 to repair about one-third of Richardson Road between Jeffco Boulevard and the I-55 overpass, Baker said.
