Seckman Middle School Gets NFL's Laurinaitis for a Day
Student Mason Kirkiewicz won the opportunity to meet an National Football League player through the Show 'n Tell Program.
Tuesday, St. Louis Rams player James Laurinaitis visited Seckman Middle School in Imperial.
The event was part of the NFL's Show ‘n Tell program, sponsored by Verizon Wireless, a news release stated.
After his mother submitted his name in the online application form, Seckman Middle School student Mason Kirkiewicz won the opportunity to meet the Rams football player and bring Laurinaitis to school.

Mason’s mom surprised Mason on his birthday with the NFL Show ‘n Tell competition.
Mason wore Laurinaitis' Ohio State sweatshirt—Laurinaitis’ alma mater—and blue and gold braces to school.

Mason and Laurinaitis toured the school’s halls and met the students cheering for them.
Laurinaitis spoke to Mason’s classroom about the NFL player's favorite songs, overcoming difficult situations and his work ethic.
Laurinaitis also signed photos for each student in Mason’s class.
After the visit, Mason joined Laurinaitis in a limousine ride back to Mason’s home.
