St. Louis Region in Top 5 for Manufacturing Jobs

The St. Louis region ranked fourth for total industrial jobs in the Manufacturer's News Inc's List which published on New Year's Day.

Although the region's manufacturing jobs decreased by about 2.8 percent since a year ago, the St. Louis Business Journal said about the list, only the Houston, New York and Chicago regions had more than St. Louis' 80,795 industrial jobs.

About a third of the states with industrial jobs showed an increase in manufacturing jobs, the publications say.
