Students, Teachers Oppose Social Networking Ban

A "St. Louis Post-Dispatch" article reports that the Missouri law banning social networks between students and educators could lead to a civil rights lawsuit.

Some parents, students and educators are beginning to oppose Missouri’s law, which goes into effect Aug. 28, that will prohibit teachers and students from becoming Facebook friends.

The possible limits on educators First Amendment rights may lead to a lawsuit, reported the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The law, named Amy Hestir Student Protection Act, is meant to protect children from sexual abuse from adults, the article reported.
