Three Arnold Air Conditioning Units Stolen During Holiday Week
A fourth air conditioning unit was almost taken, in Arnold, during the cooler weather between Christmas and New Year's Day.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.
Jan. 1
Handgun Stolen — A Birch Lane resident reported a 9 mm pistol, valued at $100, missing from his bedroom nightstand.

Stolen Air Conditioner — A Starling Community woman reported her air conditioner condenser missing from her residence. The loss is estimated at $1,000.
Drug Paraphernalia Possession — Arnold police, responding to a phone call about someone using heroin in a vehicle parked at 2201 Michigan Ave., the address for , at about 5:30 p.m., found and charged a 20-year-old Affton man with drug paraphernalia possession. During the investigation, police said a 34-year-old Affton man stole merchandise from Walmart and walked to the car under investigation. Officers took both men to the Arnold Police Station and held them for bond payment.

Fugitive — Arnold police responded to calls about someone violating protection order at Anthony Court at about 10:50 p.m. Police learned the court protection order had not been served to the 22-year-old Arnold man at the residence. Police arrested the man on outstanding warrants, served the protection order to him and held him until he could be transferred to another law enforcement department.

Stolen License Plates— Arnold police said a female driver reported her Missouri state license plates missing from her vehicle while it was parked at at 2120 Michigan Ave., from Dec. 23 to Dec. 31. Police entered the stolen license plates’ information into the Missouri law enforcement database.
Stealing TVs, Resisting Arrest — Arnold police, responding to a phone call, arrived at Walmart at 2201 Michigan Ave., at about 1:40 p.m. and ran after an Imperial man, 25, and an Arnold man, 22, after they stole two TVs valued at $825. Police caught the men and booked them.
Attempted Theft, Property Damage—A Starling Community resident reported hearing noises outside his residence at 2 a.m. The man later found wires cut to his air conditioning condenser. The estimated damage is $1,500.Â
Driving While Influenced, Interfering with an Investigation — Arnold police investigating a suspicious vehicle on Theodore Drive at about 3:30 a.m., charged a 22-year-old Arnold man with driving while influenced. The man refused to take a breath test and was released on a court summons. During the investigation on the street, a 25-year-old Arnold man interfered with police officers’ questions. The police arrested the older man, charged him with interfering with an investigation and released him on a court summons.

Stealing Gasoline — Arnold Police Officers and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a Black GMC Sierra with Missouri license plates after its driver failed to pay for about $60 in fuel at the gas station at 2046 Key West Dr., at 6:30 a.m. The vehicle and plates were already in the law enforcement computer database due to prior drive-offs, the police said. The license plates are listed as stolen from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
Stolen Air Conditioners — A Starling Airport Road Church manager reported two air conditioner condenser units missing from the rear of the church. Insurance paid for the loss estimated at about $4,000.
Stealing from Walgreens — store management at 776 Jeffco Blvd., said an Arnold woman, 37, while waiting for a prescription, took several items from the store and left without paying. Police found the woman at her residence, booked her at the Arnold Police Department and later released her on a court summons.
Marijuana Possession — An Arnold police officer investigating a suspicious vehicle on Rockwood Drive at about 2:15 a.m., found a 17-year-old Arnold boy in possession of marijuana. Police arrested the boy, booked him and later released him on a court summons.Â
Dec. 29
Stealing from Employer — Walmart store security at 2201 Michigan Ave. said an employee, a 25-year-old Arnold man, stole about $45 in food, drinks, and gift cards between Nov. 23 and Dec. 24. Arnold police issued a court summons to the man and released him at the store at about 5 p.m.Â
Drug, Paraphernalia Possession — Arnold police, investigating to a phone call about a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of Robin Drive, charged a 33 year old Arnold man with possession of 1.4. grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officers booked the man and later released him on a court summons.
Driving While Influenced —An Arnold man, 56, faces charges of driving while influenced after police found him slumped on his vehicle’s steering wheel while it was parked in the 500 block of Jeffco Boulevard at about 6:45 p.m. The man refused to take a breath test, was booked and later released to a sober driver.
Driving While Influenced — An Imperial woman, 29, could face driving while influenced charges after police found her and her vehicle in a wreck at the intersection of Vogel Road and Richardson Road at 10 p.m. Arnold police asked the Rock Township Ambulance Department take the woman to St. Anthony’s Medical Center, in South St. Louis County, for medical treatment. Police said they were waiting for laboratory results prior to charging the woman.
Driving While Influenced — Arnold police charged a Hillsboro woman, 24, with driving while influenced after she was in a vehicle wreck at the intersection of Richardson Road and Interstate 55 at about 1 a.m. The Rock Township Ambulance Department took the woman to St. Anthony’s Medical Center for medical treatment. The woman submitted a blood sample and police were waiting for test results prior to issuing charges to the woman.

Shoplifting — security, at 2150 Michigan Ave., detained two Arnold females, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, after they allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise at 9:45 p.m. Arnold police later released the 15-year-old to her mother. Police took the older female to the police station, booked her and released her on a court summons.Â

Shoplifting — Kohl’s Department Store security detained an Ellisville man, 18, after he allegedly stole $74 in merchandise at about 4:30 p.m. Arnold police charged the man and later released him on a court summons.

Drug Paraphernalia Possession, Driving While Influenced— Arnold police officers charged an 18 year old Arnold man with drug paraphernalia possession, minor in possession of alcohol and driving while influenced after a traffic stop near the intersection of Arnold-Tenbrook Road and Tony Drive at about 1:15 a.m. The man submitted a breath alcohol sample, was booked and later released to a sober driver.
Driving While Influenced — Police charged an Arnold man, 48, with driving while influenced after a traffic stop near the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Hwy. 141 at about 1:40 a.m. The man refused to take a breath test, was booked and was later released to sober driver.
Stealing from Vehicles — Arnold police officers responded to a phone call about people stealing from vehicles parked on Maxville Lane at 5:15 a.m. Upon arriving, police learned the caller prevents several juveniles from stealing from a parked vehicle. The officers found the vehicle, tracked the juveniles’ footprints in the snow to a home on Jennifer Lynn Lane, arrested three juveniles and recovered several stolen items.
