Tip Leads Arnold Police to Meth Remnants

Engaged Arnold couple assault each other after becoming intoxicated also in last week's crime report.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

Sept. 11

  • Stolen License Plate Tab — An Jeffco Boulevard resident reported missing her car’s front license plate tab. Arnold police entered the tab’s number into the Missouri car registration database and reported it stolen.
  • Court Order Violated — A woman residing on Lonedell Road reported her ex-boyfriend, a 35-year old St. Louis man, left threatening messages on her cell phone and violated a court order.

  • Drug Tip — Arnold police officers, responded to a tip, and found a suspicious cooler in the 1800 block of Melody Lane. Officers found the remnants of a methamphetamine lab, the report stated. The Jefferson County Drug Task Force seized the items.
  • Stealing, Assault Charges— Arnold police officers charged a St. Louis resident with charges of stealing and assaulting a security officer, at 2150 Michigan Ave. Police learned the suspect was wanted on warrants from St. Louis City and St. Louis County police departments. Arnold police booked the suspect then contacted the other agencies for further charges
  • Driving While Intoxicated — An Arnold woman, 40, faces charges of driving while intoxicated after Arnold police conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Jeffco Boulevard. The suspect had a blood alcohol level of .185, was processed and released to a sober driver.
  • Assault — Arnold police officers detained an engaged couple from Arnold — a 37-year-old man and 30-year-old woman — for 12 hours after they became intoxicated and assaulted each other during an argument along Blossum Lane.

Sept. 9

  • Burglary, Rifle Reported Missing — An Ozark Drive resident retuned home to find the front window broken and an SKS rifle missing. The event occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Driving While Intoxicated — An Arnold man, 44, faces charges of driving while intoxicated after officers stopped him while driving near the intersection of West Outer Road and Elm Drive. The suspect had a blood alcohol level of .18, police said. The suspect was released to a sober driver.

  • Stolen from a Vehicle — A Skyview Drive resident reported missing a $130 GPS unit  from his unlocked vehicle. The theft likely occurred between overnight on Aug. 29.
  • Property Damage, Attempted Force Entry — A Richardson Road apartment resident reported that someone attempted to pry open his apartment door during the evening. The resident was in his living room during the incident. No entry gained but door and trim were damaged, police reported.

Sept. 7

  • Stolen from a Vehicle — A Tribute Drive resident reported missing a radar detector, cash and a sunglass case valued at $75 from his unlocked vehicle. The victim said the thefts occurred between Sept. 5 and Sept. 7.
  • Shoplifting — ’s store security detained an Arnold woman, 34, for shoplifting. Arnold police release her at the scene on a court summons.

Sept. 6

  • Stealing from Unlocked Cars — Victims residing on Rosedale Drive reported missing their wallets and credit cards that were in their parked and unlocked cars.
  • Forced Entry, Possible Burglary — An Airglades Drive apartment resident reported that someone forced open their apartment door. Nothing was immediately reported missing due to the condition of the apartment, the police report said.

Sept. 5

  • Burglary — A Lincoln Drive resident reported missing his bicycle and bed from his home. The victim believes the burglary occurred between Aug. 22 and Sept. 5.
  • Assault — Victims said three white males, one attacker held a pipe, attacked them outside the Bayshore Apartment complex, the Arnold police report said. After the assault, the three attackers fled the area in a white passenger vehicle.
  • Drug Possession — An Arnold man, 31, faces marijuana possession charges after police officers stopped him driving near the interestion of Jeffco Boulevard and the Meramec River. Officers released the man at the scene on a court summons.
